Thanks Tara for your comments... I've never baked anything in my life before we started on our self sufficiency plans and when I mentioned I wanted to learn my mom and grandmother took out old recipe books from early 1900's and their own collections passed around. Priceless... I created a new category for HomeMade Recipes and will share them. I now love to cook and bake in general, my wife doesn't mind either..lol

For the garden this is the first year I'll buy my seeds online. The last 3 years I've bought from the local flower shop but I'm at the point now of buying bulk and I think i'll be ordering from Veseys Seeds (www.veseys.com) They've been in the local business here for about 70 years and funny story is my great grandmother used to buy her seeds from them back in the day.

This all sounds very exciting. :) We're in our 2nd year, technically, although our first year only consisted of amending soil and a few containers. So our expansion this year will be tremendous! Just looking at our seed list for this year is overwhelming.

Do you have a link to your whole wheat bread recipe? I've yet to master whole wheat (or any bread recipe for that matter) but I just ordered my first bulk order of it so I think I'd better start practicing.
